How Does a Face Lift Work?

During the procedure, your surgeon makes openings that work from above the ear, near the hairline behind the temples, and down around to the base of the ear. Your surgeon then carefully detaches the facial skin away from the connective tissue and underlying muscles. At this point, the deeper facial tissues are manipulated, sagging jowls are addressed, and a good foundation is prepared to work with your skin. Muscles are lifted and tightened, the folds in the skin are smoothed out, and excess skin is removed before artfully working the skin of the facial plate back in place. While this is a rather invasive procedure, it is routine for an experienced cosmetic surgeon.

After the Face Lift

With the wrinkles, folds, and fine lines gone from your face, you will be able to recognize what appears to be a much younger version of yourself.
